Not everyone who thinks they are saved is going to Heaven (Matthew 7:21-23). This means that some teachings about salvation are completely false and given by false teachers that are leading the majority of the church down the wide road (Matthew 7:13-15).

How is one “Saved” is the question we think we know, the steps we think we have accomplished, yet ignore all the warning signs to the truth.

Most stand upon the teaching of the modern gospel, and have:
Said our prayer of salvation
Ask Jesus in our heart
Made Jesus our personal Savior
Have a personal “relationship” with Christ.

Yet, MOST professing Christians don’t even realize that not one single person in the Bible was saved in this manner; nor are any of these theologies taught in Scripture - NONE!

Does that not worry anyone? Does it not worry anyone that the Bible teaches, through a deceptive (un-Biblical) teaching of those in the church (whether on purpose or through error), most who think they are going to Heaven are not going; and the modern teaching of what it takes to be saved is NOT in the Bible (it’s un-Biblical)?

2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 says:

and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, 8 in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ

There are two groups of people here: those who don’t believe in God and those who do but do not OBEY the Gospel. That’s an interesting statement - OBEY the Gospel.

Since the common practiced steps of the modern gospel is not Biblical, what are the steps to obey the Gospel?

THESE ARE EASY AND HAVE BEEN DONE WITH MOST IN THE AMERICAN CHURCH:
Be taught of sin, God, and Christ (Romans 10:14)
Have Faith that Y’shua is the Messiah, the Lamb of God (Hebrews 11:6)
Confess Christ is the Messiah, the Lamb of God (Romans 10:9)
Be Baptized for the Remission of Sin (Acts 2:38)

THESE MOST PEOPLE RATHER STAND ON CLICHE’S AND SCRIPTURES PULLED FROM CONTEXT TO AVOID OBEYING:
Repent of Sin (Acts 17:30)
Being Born Again (John 3:3)
Into a life and walk in righteousness (1 John 2:29)
Denying sinful acts (1 John 3:4-9)
Keeping ourselves from sin (1 John 5:18)
Living like Christ (1 Peter 2:21-25)
Coming full circle back around to the verse of the original step and preaching Christ (Romans 10:14-15; Acts 1:8)

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
(Colossians 2:8 NKJV)
