FROM DECEPTION TO OPEN ACCEPTANCE

I’m getting ready to give an example of deception, but this article is not about the example nor deception; it’s about something far worse.

Many people know the popular Eagles song, “Hotel California”; yet most people have no idea that the song refers to the church of satan in California.

Anton LaVey, founder of the church of satan, wrote the satanic bible in 1969; which is the reason of the statement, “we haven’t had that spirit here since nineteen sixty nine”. A portion of the song continues to say:

“Mirrors on the ceiling,The pink champagne on iceAnd she said ’we are all just prisoners here, of our own device’And in the master’s chambers,They gathered for the feastThey stab it with their steely knives,But they just can’t kill the beast”

The songs title is talking of the actual church of satan, which is located in a converted hotel on California street. Inside the album cover, looking down on the festivities, is Anton LaVey. The Eagles manager, Larry Salter, admitted in the Waco Tribune-Herald, (Feb. 28, 1982) that the Eagles were involved with the Church of Satan.

There are many deceptions in the world that has fooled the professing Christian into things they should not be involved in; but there is something that has changed, and it’s far worse than these deceptions.

Christians no longer have to be deceived to sleep with the harlotries of this world. There are many things that are open about what they are, and what they represent; yet todays Christian has no problem with going to places like “Sin City” and watching shows like “Son’s of Anarchy” (just to name a very few); things that are in complete contradiction to the character of God. Whether they are living it out in a sinful place, or living it vicariously in a show, these are things professing Christians should avoid; yet they are embracing instead.

God help us all, because we’ve allowed the church to become a harlot, through our desires of worldly things.
