MY LIFE IS A WITNESS?

I was sitting in my truck last night when the man in the truck next to me tried to start his truck and it was dead. I looked over at me and I was eager to come give him a jump off. He did not think it would reach and I told him that I would drop the trailer if I had to. He said that was too much work, but I told him it’s worth it to get him going.

I got out my cables and hooked up the batteries, but I was not getting any juice. The cables don’t get used much so they were rusty. He was ready to call road service and I told him to hold off a moment, it will start. I cleaned the cables with a wire brush and we got a good connection.

After five minutes of charging, the truck would still not start. After a few choice words, the man said he’s going to have to call road service. I stayed calm and told him, give it five more minutes and it WILL start.

Five minutes later the truck started and he was thrilled. I wrapped up my cables and put them away. He was busy getting ready to head out so I didn’t bother him any more. I was in my truck doing my studies which meant I had study materials out, Bible software up on the computer screen, along with my notes and writings. He came over to thank me and asked what “degree” I was studying for. I told him I was a pastor and was studying God’s Word. He responded, “Oh, that explains why you are so helpful”.

This would seem like a good thing to most Christians, producing the fruits of the Spirit of Elohim, and it is good; but it showed me something more. Our life is not a witness to anyone except those who know us personally. To the person we meet everyday, the ones who we help, and so forth, our life is not a witness to Elohim or Y’shua. Our fruits of the Spirit of Elohim is a witness to goodness, as people only see us as good people. If we do not witness to people, how will they know WHY we are good. There is no such thing as “my life is my witness”. I’ve never met a christian who’s life was so good they did not have to open their mouth to be a witness to Y’shua.
