OUR MONEY IS CURSED BECAUSE...

The most popular teaching today is a Grace only teaching. Religion teaches to merely have faith in the sacrifice of Christ and we are saved. Religion teaches that there is no need to clean ourselves, or to live a life of righteousness and godliness, because we can not do it. Yet, scripture paints a totally different picture (Titus 2:11-14; Romans 6:3-6, 12-16...).

Many have heard me refer to the US as having the spirit of Sodom. We have even allowed sexual immoralities into our churches; along with a gluttonous living, idleness, and few do anything to help those in need. God is sending the US a warning. Bear with me through this, and I’ll explain, by scripture, why I believe this is a warning to the US.

In Isaiah 1, starting with verse 10, we see God addressing Sodom and Gomorrah. In verse 11-14, He comes against our relying solely on the sacrifice, things we offer to Him, and our assemblies He hates; because they have become merely a pattern. In verse 12, He’s condemning us for treading the blood of Christ (Heb 10:29). We understand this to be because we continue to return to our sinful ways (Heb 10:26-29). In verse 15, He is telling us that His ears are plugged to our prayers. In verse 16, He’s telling us to wash the sinful ways from our lives, our rebellion, our stubbornness; and put away the evil doings. In verse 18, He’s saying to reason the Word with Him. People no longer study Holy Scripture. They merely follow the religion, as told to them by man; because, they rather be engrossed in the things of this world; which is evil in the sight of God (1 John 2:15). When we study, and walk by Holy Scripture, our sins, which are like scarlet, will be white as snow. Verse 19-20 tells us that if we will start being obedient, we will eat the good of the land, but if we refuse and rebel, we will be devoured. In verse 21, He calls us a harlot; which we are according to prophecy also.

Here’s why I believe this is a warning to the US today, as we are looking so much like Sodom. In verse 21, God says we were full of justice, and righteousness resided in our country. But now we are murders. In verse 22, He tells us that our money has become worthless. In verse 23, He tells us our leaders are rebellions and companions of thieves; everyone loves bribes, and follows after the things they can get. We do not defend each other, nor even the ones who are weak; nor do we give care to those in need.

The only way this can change, is to put away the false doctrine of religion that says all you have to do is believe. We need to read the Holy Scripture and see what it says on how we live righteously, and godly. But, not only read - DO the things written in it. The outcome for not heeding to this warning; the outcome of not doing what God says, is told in the history of Sodom and Gomorrah.
