END OF THE END

Tonight is the anniversary of The Last Supper and when calculating how many years it’s been the number jumped out at me. There is understanding of the Jews that has not been talked about and we are entering a significant time, a historical time, which I wanted to point out to anyone looking at my page of ramblings. This event may be telling us of the second coming no matter what we do to try and change it.

Before we get into this, we need to grab some context.

In the creation story (Genesis 1) we have the number seven, or its multiples, used several times. This use of seven is important to understand this time we are in now.

We have to look at this in the original Hebrew text but here's the sevens.
Genesis 1:1 has seven words. As a note, the center two Hebrew letters is the first and last of the alphabet (beginning and end)
Genesis 1:2 has fourteen words
Genesis 2:1-3 The conclusion of the creation story begins three lines with seven words each.
"God" was used 35 times (7x5)
"Land" was used 21 times (7x3)
"Skies" was used 21 times (7x3)
God speaks seven times in creative commands "let there be..."
"God saw that is was good" was used seven times (even though He did not say it after day two) therefore it was assured it was applied elsewhere
The following words were used seven times:
"light" and "day" on day two
"light" on day four
"living creature" on days five and six

All these uses of seven are completely intentional. Now, let's look at a couple more things before getting to why we are reaching a historical event.

It's no secret that seven is the use for completeness and rest. Think about those two words, or let's reverse them - rest and completeness.

Days of Unleavened Bread (the time we're entering now) is seven days starting on the 14th day of the month and the seventh day is a day of rest (Exodus 34.18-21)
Hebrew servants were to work 6 years but be released the seventh (Exodus 21:2)
Feast of Trumpets is the seventh month (Leviticus 23:27)
Day of Atonement is the seventh month (Leviticus 23:27)
For six days we are to grow crops but the seventh let the land rest (Exodus 23:10-11 and we're getting closer to the importance of this time)
The Year of Jubilee is the seventh month of the 49th year (7x7). (Leviticus 25:8-10)

I could go on with this as these references of seven go on and on. I wanted to go ahead and get to the point so you don't just turn this off.

Notice the year of Jubilee the seventh month of a year in the multiples of seven where liberty is proclaimed. Notice the trumpets are played the seventh month and trumpets will be played at the second coming of Messiah. The Day of Atonement is the seventh month and while He atoned for our sins now, the fulfillment of this atonement is at His coming (Matthew 24:13). Notice the crux of what we are going to look at in that of the resting of the land on the seventh year.

People have tried to calculate the Biblical years through the ages. The calendar we operate on today is in error by 31 years if counting to His death (AD = After Death). We know this because Daniels prophecy of 70 weeks points to the death of Messiah Y’shua and pinpoints it to 31AD. The Hebrews have tried counting the years based on the genealogies and they are currently in 5784. The Jew do not count BC/AD and if we did the same with the calendar we operate on then we would be in about 5993 (Messiah’s death). I believe we are to count Messiah’s death on two points, Daniels prophecy points to the death and so does Joel’s prophecy of the pouring out of the Spirit of God on all flesh (Joel 2:28) repeated by Peter in Acts 2:17.

No matter what the actual year, two events bring into correction any error made before these two events.

The Jews look at eras of time and imagery and numbers mean everything to them.

There have been three eras of time (looking at it from a Biblical or Messianic standpoint):
Patriarch Era = God’s Covenant with Abraham and his seed
Abrahamic Era = God’s Covenant with Israel
Messiah Era = God’s Renewed Covenant through the Seed of Abraham
Then the second coming

No matter the error in calculating the two previous eras of Biblical time, it’s been 1954 years since the destruction of the temple and 1993 years since sacrifices ended (death of Messiah). The orthodox Jew does not see Y’shua (Jesus) as the Messiah so they don’t make note of His death but that is the time sacrifices ended because the Temple veil was torn from top to bottom.

Understanding the possible error before these two events, let look at the two views of the two different Jewish beliefs.

To the orthodox Jew they see a pattern of two thousand years from Adam to Abraham, two thousand years from Abraham to the stop of sacrifices or destruction of the temple, and then we are reaching the two thousand years since the stop of sacrifices (1993 years) or destruction of the temple (1954 years). This places the end of the 2000 year era at either 2070 (destruction of the temple) or 2031 (stop of sacrifices) where they will see their Jubilee by the first coming of their messiah.

The Messianic Jew sees a similar pattern of two thousand years from Adam to Abraham, two thousand years from Abraham to the death of Messiah Y’shua, and this year marks 1993 years since the death of Messiah. Only seven years (2031) until 2000 thousand years. After this the era is the time of Jubilee and we are told of 1000 years of rest after the second coming of Messiah Y'shua.

Think about this based on all the times and ways we see seven used in Scripture: 2000+2000+2000=6000 years the world labors and and the human race groans in labor upon it and then our Jubilee and 1000 years the world rests and all is complete (meaning of seven = rest and completeness)

Why 2000?

The imagery in the numbers are in multiples of 1000. If we knock those back down we see them as 2+2+2+1=7. Seven is completeness and rest. The Hebrew meaning of the number 2 is "multiply". This is where the 2000 years come in.

The first 2000 years (Patriarch Era) God told Adam and Eve to Multiply (Genesis 1:28)
The second 2000 years (Abrahamic Era) God tells Abraham HE will multiply his seed (Genesis 22:17-18)
The third 2000 years (Messiah Era) Messiah Y'shua tells His disciples to "make disciples of all nations" (Multiply) (Matthew 28:19-20).

Each 2000 years set in a new era of multiplication, the three eras of labor on earth, and then the rest comes.

This last two thousand years is considered "the last days" as Peter stated at Pentecost, quoting from Joel 2 "‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people...'" (Acts 2:17). We see this pouring out in Acts 2 and therefore Peter was not mistaken on his statement. He was not suggesting it was the end of the world, before Messiah's second coming. He knew there was a mission that had to be fulfilled first, thus he was not making note of the second coming but in the last era of time - we are in the last era of time; 1993 years since the death of Christ and the year the Spirit of God fell in Pentecost. We are reaching the end of the ending era of time. The end of the era before the 1000 years of rest.

Before we leave I want to make a strong note. I’m not predicting the coming of Messiah Y’shua in 2031. What I’m explaining is the Jewish view of the era’s of time and how we’re reaching the end of the last era. When talking about the coming of the Bride Groom, Messiah said, “But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.” (Matthew 25:5). Are we already in the apparent delay being 2031 or is there still a delay to happen? We don’t know. What we do know is that no one knows the day or hour and we should all be diligent in staying prepared. What I’m pointing out is an extremely exciting time as we reach the end of this pattern in the eras of time.
